Rim rolling testing machine for radial fatigue tests (RRT)

The machine is designed to perform fatigue tests on car disc wheels. The test bench is designed to conduct tests in compliance with both, the ISO as well as specific factory standards.

The machine has a modular design with water cooling of the drum. It can be assembled according to customer requirements and is available with up to four stations.

Mechanical Construction

Der Maschinenrahmen wird als Schweißkonstruktion ausgeführt und auf Schwingungsdämpfern gelagert.
Auf dem Maschinenrahmen der jeweiligen Prüfstandseite wird der Schlitten – mit montierter Kraftmessdose und Aufnahme-spindel – auf Präzisions-Lineareinheiten geführt.
Der Roll-Radius und die Einpresstiefe werden über ein digitales Mess-System bestimmt.
Die Anlage verfügt über eine Sicherheits-abschaltung, die bei Defekten dafür sorgt, dass die Maschine in Grundstellung zurück-fährt und das Lastrad und die Spindel mit Prüfrad stoppt.

Processing of measured values

The contact pressure and lateral force is absorbed directly on the spindle bearing via force transducers (inmess patent). Slide friction and other negative influences therefore do not falsify the measured forces.
The measured values are processed and fed to the measuring computer.
The test plans are created in the measuring computer. The measured values are evaluated and visualized on a monitor.
The test specifications, measurement results and other information are stored individually in a database for each test.
